Provide a brief account of encopresis.
What will be an ideal response?
Answers will vary. Soiling, or encopresis, is lack of control over the bowels. Soiling, like enuresis, is more common among boys. About 1% to 2% of children at the ages of seven and eight have continuing problems controlling their bowels. Soiling, in contrast to enuresis, is more likely to occur during the day. Thus, it can be embarrassing to the child, especially in school.
