Jamel is in a research study where he was given oxytocin. Explain how he would respond if he looked at a photo of his wife versus how he might act if an unknown, attractive female entered the room.

What will be an ideal response?

Jamel would be more likely to state that he loves his wife more strongly after the dose of oxytocin than he might before the dose. He wouldn't necessarily rate photos of other women any less favorably, but he would view his wife more favorably. If an unknown, attractive woman came in the room, Jamel would probably keep further away from her than other men who were not in committed relationships. He might also keep further away from her than he would had he not been given the oxytocin.
