How does an attitude of success expectation influence a person's performance?

Success expectation includes self-confidence, determination, and persistence. By approaching a task confidently and working at it with determination, success is more likely. Even when one experiences failure, success expectation leads one to analyze the failure and learn from it, rather than just give up. Analyzing a failure and approaching the next task differently furthers the chance of success in the future.
