Why would the evolution of a better eye be a disadvantage for a mole?

What will be an ideal response?

Since a mole does not need good eyesight for its everyday tasks, inheriting the mutations required to produce a better eye would wind up using up precious energy that could best be spent for other endeavors that the mole needs to compete and survive.
