Describe the attachment method of various components (insulation, cover board and membrane) of a fully mopped single-ply roof (SPR) membrane on a steel deck.
What will be an ideal response?
Insulation boards are fastened to the deck to simply hold them in place. The cover board is then fastened to the
deck (through the insulation) to provide the necessary wind uplift capability. Finally, SPR membrane is fully
mopped to the cover board. Seams between membranes are either heat fused or adhered with double-sided tape,
depending on the membrane.
