Since this is an early point in the semester, students should be encouraged to think about various personality characteristics that would serve one well working with individuals, families, groups, agencies, and communities. Consider how these characteristics differ from one another, and whether one person could exhibit all of them. Do students believe that they could currently adapt themselves to the various levels of intervention? In what areas do they need to develop in order to do so?
