What is status inconsistency? Provide an example to illustrate a condition of status inconsistency. How might status inconsistency affect social interaction?

What will be an ideal response?

Status inconsistency is a contradiction or mismatch between social statuses. Examples would be a 14-year-old girl going to college, or a 40-year-old married woman dating a 19-year-old college sophomore. Status inconsistency upsets social expectations regarding how we are supposed to act toward others.
