Describe the three key factors that are associated with a global orientation on the part of leaders.

What will be an ideal response?

There are three key factors that are associated with a global orientation on the part of leaders. First is the global business know-how. This refers to knowledge of customers, competitors, supply chains, business risks, and government regulations in other countries. Second is the cross-cultural know-how, which first prefers a leader to fully understand his/her own culture, so that he/she can understand and compare other cultures, including areas such as politics, religion, art, and history. Often, other cultures intertwine these areas with business. Finally, leaders must engage with people from other cultures, and adapt to the multicultural environments in which they are immersed. They should show emotional enthusiasm, excitement and curiosity about the different people and ways of doing things in different parts of the world. And they should have a high degree of openness towards diversity and life as it is experienced in other countries.
