Describe the procedure for the 1.5-Mile Run Test.
What will be an ideal response?
The 1.5-Mile Run Test is most frequently used to predict VO2max, according to the time it takes a person to run or walk a 1.5-mile course. This test requires only a stopwatch and a track or premeasured 1.5-mile course. This is one of the easiest tests to administer, but it is considered a maximal test and should not be used for unconditioned beginners, men over the age of 45 and women over the age of 55 without proper medical clearance, symptomatic individuals, or those with known disease or risk factors for heart disease.
