• "Sabri Mudallal's voice is well known as the ‘first muezzin' [‘first caller'] of the Great Mosque [the Zakariyya Mosque]" where he broadcasts the Islamic Call to Prayer (called Adhan; also called Azan in English). The Call to Prayer is delivered by muezzins at five designated times each day from the minarets of mosques. Sabri Mudallal also invited the chapter author to make several recordings, including the Call to Prayer.
