How are the rules of nonverbal communication learned?

What will be an ideal response?

The rules of nonverbal communication are not learned in the typical, direct fashion.
They are learned indirectly, primarily through interactions with others. This process
takes place over years, is a product of a lifetime of study, and grows through continued
nonverbal interactions with individuals.
