Reflection can be defined as the act of critically exploring what you are doing, why you decided to do it, and what its effects have been. Why is it important for action researchers to engage in reflective thinking?

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Reflective teaching is a process of developing lessons or assessing student learning with thoughtful consideration of educational theory, existing research, and practical experience, along with analysis of the lesson’s effect on student learning. In order to effectively conduct an action research study, teacher-researchers must be capable of applying insights gained in the instructional process to problems of practice for the purpose of making their practice better. In this way, reflective thinking is the cornerstone of the action research process.
