What will be an ideal response?
According to the rule of law, the government has a monopoly on the use of force. Individuals may use force only when authorized by law. Self-defense is a concession to necessity and is only justified when the force is reasonably and immediately necessary for defense. Deadly force is justified only when the necessity is unprovoked and the attack involves threatened death or serious bodily injury. The amount of force used must be the minimum amount reasonably necessary to defend against an imminent threat.
