What will be an ideal response?

a. Answers may include
Further research is needed to explore the experiences of families with special needs from more diverse populations, including greater socioeconomic, ethnic, and demographic diversity (Cuskelly, Hauser-Cram, & Van Riper, 2009; Hodapp, 2007).
Additional research also is needed to understand differences in the adjustment process of families across different types of special needs/disability diagnoses, as well as longitudinally across the life span.
Most research on families with special needs continues to focus primarily on mothers with limited emphasis on the experiences of fathers or the broader impact on the couple and family system, including both internal and external contextual factors (Boss, 2002).
