The answer should indicate that traditional assignments are straight forward concerning the knowledge embedded in the topic and how understanding of concepts are demonstrated There is no variance in how students report their understanding of concepts. In differentiated assignments, teachers make variations based upon students' academic readiness, learning profiles, and interests. Assignments are differentiated by content, process, and product. The description of the two types of assignments should reflect the example found in the chart "A Comparison of Traditional and Differentiated Assignments."
