Why are first impressions important in sales?
What will be an ideal response?
Because customers are automatically and quickly judging the salesperson, the first seconds and minutes of a sales interaction matter. During this time a customer may be deciding whether a salesperson can be trusted, can provide the needed assistance, and can provide the level of needed expertise. Therefore, it's important to be self-aware of one's nonverbal and verbal communication, one's mannerisms, and one's interaction style. Ultimately, you want to ensure your first impression is perceived as extremely positive by the buyer.
