Discuss the effects of castration and antiandrogen drugs on sexual behavior in males.

What will be an ideal response?

Since castration greatly reduces (but does not entirely eliminate) sex hormones, it will result in greatly reduced sexual motivation. How quickly sexual motivation declines varies across individuals and partially depends on how much sexual experience the animal had prior to castration. Antiandrogen drugs are used to reduce aggression or sexual predation in some criminals, similar to the effects of castration. Antiandrogen drugs that block the production of testosterone are very effective in preventing sexual motivation and sexually deviant behavior.
