Immigrants and/or refugees often present with anxiety, depression, and other mental health problems that may create physical health problems. It is not uncommon for immigrants and refugees to have been persecuted, to have lost loved ones, and also to be uninsured. When immigrants and refugees do not know where to go for illnesses or injuries, they may land in an ER or hospital bed feeling overwhelmed and alone.
