Anxiety disorders include problems such as feeling anxiety for no apparent reason, phobias (fears of specific things or places), and obsessive-compulsive disorders in which obsessive thoughts lead one to perform certain behaviors repeatedly. Anxiety disorders are relatively common in older individuals. They are 60% more likely in women than men.
