Explain how to use behavior modification principles to promote adherence to exercise and change behavior.
What will be an ideal response?
Responses will vary; there are several principles one can use to help make changes to current physical activity levels or help maintain physical activity levels. One can participate in self-analysis, behavior analysis, goal setting, development of a social support network, monitoring of desired outcomes, development of a positive outlook, and providing oneself with reinforcement. The more of the principles an individual puts into place, the more likely they are to be successful.
