Describe some of the fallacies of fad diets regarding weight control.
What will be an ideal response?
Responses will vary; fad diets continue to appeal to many people because they work for awhile. However, the success is short-lived. Fad diets deceive people and claim that dieters will lose weight by following all instructions. Most fad diets are very low calorie, deprive the body of nutrients resulting in a metabolic imbalance, and the weight that is lost tends to be water and lean tissue.
