Ans: Answer would ideally include: A main focus of action research is the improvement of classroom and school practices; however, engaging in these efforts often requires a shift in mind-set for teachers, as well as for other practicing educators. Educators must learn to be reflective and critical of their own practices; once they do this, they open themselves up to the facilitation of better-informed educational decision-making. This systematic and critical reflection on one’s own professional performance has the potential to result in the direct improvement of educational practice.
