What will be an idial response.
Answer: Streptococci is the primary bacteria in dental plaque. Dental plaque is a bio film. Else it can be explained as bacterial growth on surface of teeth. The bacteria form a bio film.
Bacteria along with macrophages, lymphocytes, leukocytes and neutrophils combines to form plaque. The group of micro organisms that form the bio film that discussed earlier are streptococcus and many other anaerobes. They are the primary bacteria which starts the colonies on the tooth surface. If these are left unnoticed without proper brushing they will grow in thick layer.
