Define the following four elements of communities: contact, range, intimacy, and immediate kinship/friendship.
What will be an ideal response?
Contact is the level of interaction-how accessible community members are for contact and how much contact they actually have. Range is the size and heterogeneity of group membership. Intimacy is a sense of relationships being special, a desire for companionship among members, interest in being together in multiple social contexts over an extended period of time, and a sense of mutuality in relationships, with needs known and supported. Immediate kinship/friendship is the proportion of community membership composed of immediate kin (parents, adult children, siblings) versus friends.
