What will be an ideal response?
Answer: This cultural change had a direct impact in that it decreased domestic violence and female suicide because women could escape abusive spouses. Children no longer had to witness abuse and face the psychological effects of it. Women became more independent and were no longer stuck in a bad marriage. They could also protect their children from also being victims of abuse. Negative consequences were that children may see less of their fathers and be raised in households with only one parent.
