Why do you think some organizations solicit feedback from all employees in creating a mission statement? How might that organization benefit from this practice? How might the employees benefit?
What will be an ideal response?
Some organizations seek feedback on the mission statement from all employees so that there is a sense of ownership of the mission statement. An organization may benefit from this by having employees who are more engaged in the process and more loyal to the organization. Employees may benefit from being involved in this process in that their job satisfaction is likely to be greater when working with an organization that seeks to involve employees in important decisions, such as the creation of a mission statement.
