Explain the difference between pain tolerance and pain threshold

What will be an ideal response?

A complete response should include these concepts:
• Pain threshold is the minimum level at which most people will notice painful stimulus. Usually it is correlated with the level at which the tissue becomes damaged.
• Pain tolerance is an individual's subjective experience of pain. Pain tolerance can be affected by the individual's mood, state of mind, past experience with pain, and attitude toward pain.
• Because pain tolerance is influenced by many such factors, the brain appears to have some role in pain tolerance.
