What is toxic leadership and what are some reasons toxic leadership continues? What can an individual do if he/she is under a toxic leader?

What will be an ideal response?

Toxic leadership occurs when leadership behavior is disruptive, destructive, exploitative, dysfunctional, and abusive. Toxic leadership is also sometimes associated with excessive charisma where leaders take advantage of their followers.
In many cases, toxic leadership is allowed to continue because these leaders are able to produce results. Also, individuals who report toxic leadership might expose themselves to increased harassment, isolation, or even termination; so many do not report the behavior. Because of the negative ramifications, individuals often are afraid to report toxic leadership and when they do their concerns are not taken seriously.
Some strategies that can be used to address toxic leaders concerns are to organize group members together to confront the issue with those in authority. Also, sometimes the most reasonable response is to leave the situation.
