How do attachment theories compare to object relations theories?

What will be an ideal response?

Object relations theories were the precursors to attachment theories but whereas some object relations theorists, such as Klein, emphasized the (breast) feeding experience of the infant, Bowlby and Ainsworth emphasized early emotional and psychological relationships with caregivers. Both theories see early childhood, especially infancy, as being important in the development of later adult relationships.
