What geologic evidence can be found along the eastern margin of North America of the Triassic

breakup of Pangaea? What will be an ideal response?

Fault-block basins developed along the eastern margin of North America during the Triassic due to
upwelling magma as Pangaea began to break apart. The fault-block mountains eroded and filled the
basins with great quantities of poorly sorted, red, nonmarine detrital sediments. The Triassic faultblock
basins were the site of extensive basalt volcanism and intrusion concurrent with red, non-marine
detrital sediments.
