What is viscous dissipation?

What will be an ideal response?

Viscous dissipation is the term used to describe the energy or power used to
overcome viscosity in a fluid and to make the fluid move. It is a fluid friction and
is irreversible in the sense that it is energy or power expended and which
cannot be recouped. Viscous dissipation is a heat generation and which requires
that the fluid be cooled if its temperature is to remain unchanged.
