Amanda has created a quarterly report she must submit in support of an allergy treatment grant her department received. The report includes several styles. She wants to create a new style to use for the main headings in her report and then save all the styles in a new Style Set.
Amanda wants to create a new paragraph style called "Report Heading" based on the Heading 1 style, that will include several new formatting options. How would she do this?

What will be an ideal response?

Amanda would do the following:

1. Select text that is formatted with the Heading 1 style.
2. Click the New Style button at the bottom of the Styles task pane to open the Create New Style from Formatting dialog box.
3. Enter the name "Report Heading" in the Name text box.
4. Verify that Paragraph appears in the Style type list box and Heading 1 appears in the Style based on list box.
5. Select the formatting options to associate with the new style.
6. Click OK.
