Explain the crime of obtaining property by false pretenses

What will be an ideal response?

Obtaining property by false pretenses is similar to larceny and different from embezzlement in that the taking must be wrongful. However, it is like embezzlement and unlike larceny in that possession must be given to the thief by the person in lawful control of it. When property is obtained by false pretenses, the title to the property is also transferred to the thief.
