Why is it important for researchers conducting a literature review to be aware of the objectivity and timeliness of the resources they review?

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: One of the biggest challenges of constructing a high quality literature review is identifying appropriate sources to review. To do this, researchers are encouraged to consider the objectivity of the sources they consult (i.e., do the authors have commitments that inhibit their ability to present their research in an objective way) as well as the general objectivity of the sources assembled (i.e., have you reviewed sources that both support and contradict your initial views on the subject?). Also it is important for researchers to consult sources that reflect current thinking on the subject being studied. Although certainly some sources have a timeless quality, for the most part, researchers will want to review sources that fit within the context of current approaches to education problems.
