Explain functional immunoincompetence
What will be an ideal response?
Functional immunoincompetence results from a proliferation of immature or defective cells (incompetent cells) that are not capable of carrying out their normal function. Often, a proliferation of immunoincompetent cells is accompanied by a decreased number of normal, competent cells. The decreased number of normal cells results when the over-proliferation of one cell type outcompetes normal cells for resources (space and nutrients) in the bone marrow.
