Discuss the effect exercise intensity and duration have on glucose homeostasis
Light to moderate exercise lasting less than 90 minutes has little effect on blood glucose levels. High-intensity exercise causes the release of epinephrine, norepinephrine, and cortisol, which elevate blood glucose levels. Prolonged exercise lasting longer than 90 minutes may result in mild to severe hypoglycemia.
