Define and discuss the features of distributed energy.
What will be an ideal response?
Distributed energy is located on or near the sites in which it will be used, and it generally produces energy at much smaller scales and intensities that conventional energy systems. Distributed energy can be a stand alone system at a single site, or may also be connected into a system. Distributed energy systems allow us to use intermittent renewable energy more effectively that a large centralized power system might be able to, and they help to diversify energy resources.

Indicate whether the statement is true or false.
Answer the following statement(s) true (T) or false (F)
1. All phase windings within the transformer normally have the same relative polarity. 2. Terminal markings indicate all the relationships between primary and secondary. 3. Most three-phase, dry-type distribution transformers are connected as a primary wye connection. 4. If the pattern is a delta-delta pattern, the displacement must be 60°. 5. It is only necessary to connect the similarly marked high- and low-voltage terminals if the transformers have the same voltage ratio, the same percent impedance, and the same angular displacement.
