Postoperative diagnosis: Torsion of the testis
Procedure: Correction of torsion
After the patient was placed under general anesthesia, a scrotal incision was made to expose the twisted left testis. It was noted that there was reduced blood flow. The spermatic cord and the testis were untwisted. The testis then was secured to the inside wall of the scrotum by sutures, and the incision was closed in layered sutures. The patient was in satisfactory condition and was sent to the recovery suite.
