What is meant by a dual court system?

What will be an ideal response?

We have laws at both the federal level and the state level. In order to prosecute
these crimes, the federal court system handles cases that violate federal law. While
there are offices and courtrooms located throughout the United States, they all operate
under the same system. At the same time, each state has its own separate court
system.
