Why are less massive stars thought to age more slowly than more massive stars despite the fact they have much less "fuel"?
What will be an ideal response?
Hot, massive blue stars radiate energy at such an enormous rate that they substantially deplete their hydrogen fuel much more quickly than smaller main sequence stars. You could compare them to cars. A Hummer uses up its enormous fuel reservoir very quickly, whereas a Smart car uses up its comparably tiny fuel reservoir very slowly.
