Trace the pathway of feces through the portions of the large intestine from the ileocecal valve to the anal canal

What will be an ideal response?

As feces enter the large intestine at the ileocecal valve (sphincter), they travel through the first portion known as the cecum. The next portion is the colon, which is divided into four portions: ascending colon, transverse colon, descending colon, and sigmoid colon. The large intestine terminates as it approaches the rectum, which ends at the anal canal.
