Discuss the relationships that have been examined between self-leadership and the Big 5 personality traits? What do these findings show in relationships to self-leadership?

What will be an ideal response?

Ans:
• The Big 5 personality traits are conscientiousness, openness to experience, agreeableness, extraversion, and neuroticism. Extraverts tend to be outgoing, talkative, and assertive. People high in agreeableness are courteous, good-natured, and caring. Conscientiousness involves being well-ordered, planful, and self-disciplined. Neuroticism is characterized by anxiousness, depression, and insecurity. At the opposite end of the spectrum from neuroticism, this trait is sometimes positively called emotional stability and refers to people who are well adjusted, stable, and secure. Finally, openness to experience incorporates imagination, curiosity, and originality. The research has been conducted shows relationships between conscientiousness, extraversion, and emotional stability in regards to self-leadership. The strongest relationships appear to be between self-leadership and conscientiousness, as individuals use both world altering and self-imposed self-leadership strategies.
