Provide an appropriate response.Explain the difference between adding rational expressions and solving rational equations.

What will be an ideal response?

When adding rational expressions, we use the LCD to write an expression equivalent to the sum of the given expressions. When solving rational equations, we use the LCM of the denominators to clear fractions and then proceed to find the value(s) of the variable for which the equation is true.
