How did the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (MASH) unit’s treatment of the wounded diff er from the treatment for the wounded in World War II?

What will be an ideal response?

The development of the MASH unit moved the opportunity for
soldiers to receive extensive surgery closer to the front, so the wounded
could be completely treated sooner compared to the care soldiers
received in World War II and earlier wars. As a result, more than
90 percent of the soldiers who made it to the MASH units survived.
