ADSL uses different upload and download speeds. ADSL download speeds are much faster than the upload speeds. Most small office and home office (SOHO) users are primarily concerned with fast downloads for things like Web pages and can tolerate slower upload speeds. ADSL provides theoretical maximum download speeds up to 15 Mbps and upload speeds up to 1 Mbps. Real-world ADSL download speeds vary from 384 Kbps to 15 Mbps, and upload speeds go from as low as 128 Kbps to around 768 Kbps.
