Explain why Normalization is important for database design
What will be an ideal response?
Normalization helps ensure that a database functions properly and that data can be entered, updated and removed without anomalies and unintended consequences. Failure to normalize a database may result in a database where data cannot be entered as needed, where updates must be made in several places and where deletions cause important data to also be lost. In short, failure to normalize a database may make it unusable.
