An entrance region refers to flow of a fluid in a closed channel such as a tube,
pipe, or duct and the region at the entrance the fluid velocity will develop into a
fully developed flow with a uniform velocity profile beyond the entrance. At the
entrance region the fluid velocity will gradually change from a straight velocity,
or free stream velocity as it enters to the fully developed state.
