What is the “precession of the equinoxes,” and how does it affect glaciation? What will be an ideal response?

The Precession of the Equinoxes is one of the three aspects in the Milankovitch Theory of
Earth’s orbit that can affect the amount of solar radiation reaching Earth. The Equinoxes are the
times when the sun is directly over the equator. Currently, the aphelion occurs when Earth is
tilted toward the sun in summer, and the perihelion occurs when Earth is tilted away from the sun
in winter. However, in 11,000 years, Earth will be farthest from the sun in winter, causing colder
winters to occur
