During mealtimes, the teacher can encourage casual conversation between the children. Also, the teacher can mention how delicious the food is to reinforce the pleasure of eating it. In addition, teachers should eat with the children to emphasize that they are partners in eating rather than supervisors checking on how well the students are eating.
