What is the difference between presumptive identification and positive identification?

A presumptive ID is assumed based on what a person is wearing or some form of ID (driver's license) found on the person. A positive identification is definitive and generally is based upon one or more of the following: visual identification, X-rays, medical devices, fingerprints, dental records, and DNA analysis.
